ABOUT
DANIEL
My name is Daniel Moshe Freedman. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and a Masters of Science in Teaching and Learning. I am an educator, artist, and poet. Sculptor by nature, painter by trade.
My work deals with themes of resilience, strife, peace, chaos, and beauty. I take heavy inspiration from French impressionists as well as German and Malaysian expressionists.
I was born in New York City, I began to paint in Maine, now I am based in Madrid.
I straddle the Atlantic in my work and life.
I remember first making art at five years old making dinosaurs out of the tinfoil my peanut butter and jelly sandwitches were wrapped in.
My philosophy of art and education are similar.
In both practices one should strive to engage through curiosity, mutual respect, and relationship building.
